WhatsApp in Zoho is templates — not a team inbox.

Zoho's WhatsApp page describes 'configure WhatsApp templates within Zoho CRM'. There is no shared team inbox, broadcast campaign builder or chatbot designer documented on the CRM product pages. WhatsApp Business API onboarding, template approval and Meta conversation fees remain the customer's responsibility.

Indian SMBs run 40–70% of their sales on WhatsApp. Sending a template from a CRM record is not the same as running a team inbox.

No native SIM call recording. You rent telephony separately.

Zoho's PhoneBridge page lists third-party partners — RingCentral, Ringover, Exotel, Ozonetel, Knowlarity, JustCall and 5 others. There is no native Android SIM call-logging product on Zoho's CRM or PhoneBridge pages. Field reps calling from personal SIMs are not auto-logged.

Exotel/Ozonetel/Knowlarity typically run ~₹1,500 per user per month — often more than the CRM itself.

No first-party connectors for Indian lead sources.

Zoho Marketplace searches for 'IndiaMART', 'JustDial' and '99acres' returned no first-party Zoho-published connectors on our April 2026 fetches. Customers rely on Zapier, webhooks, or partner-built paid extensions — all of which break when the portal changes its payload.

Missing an IndiaMART enquiry by 5 minutes means another broker got it. DIY webhooks are a production risk.
